Aston Villa may already have next front-of-shirt sponsor after cryptic new reveal online

Aston Villa may already have a new partnership lined up as the Premier League ban on gambling sponsors like Betano commences from the 2026-27 season.

The Villains signed a two-year agreement with Betano, but the English top flight won’t allow gambling companies’ branding on shirt fronts for the upcoming campaign.

The Premier League’s ban on gambling companies will have an effect at Villa Park, but the Lions could have a deal in place for next season already.

Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens will feel they’ve been hampered at Villa with all the financial regulations that have come into place in recent years, but they can’t waste any time complaining.

Xapo Bank hints at new Aston Villa sponsorship

Xapo Bank became an official partner of Villa in July 2025.

The first Bitcoin-enabled bank was the Pre-Season Tour partner of the Lions in the summer as Unai Emery’s team travelled to the United States.

It looks like the B6 club and Xapo Bank could potentially take their relationship further next season with a front-of-shirt deal.

When one Villa fan on X predicted the banking company to be the Birmingham outfit’s new shirt sponsors, their official handle replied with the eye emojis.

Xapo Bank’s cryptic response on social media may be an indication of what’s to come at Villa Park as NSWE look to make further progress in the coming years.

Emery has fans dreaming of the Premier League title after beating Arsenal at home on 6 December, and their progress will be one to watch closely.

Villa Park deal to cost Xapo Bank a premium after 30-year first

Aston Villa beat Basel in the Europa League on 11 December, with the B6 club surely one of the favourites to win the competition.

Betano agreed a deal worth £20million annually to be the Lions’ sponsors in 2023, a club record, but Emery’s heroics could potentially help them ask for more.

If the Spanish manager ends the Villans’ 30-year wait for a trophy and wins European silverware at the Birmingham outfit, sponsors will surely be lining up, especially with Champions League royalties possible yet again.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Villa create another club record with their next front-of-shirt deal, but it remains to be seen whether Xapo Bank will win the race.
