‘Aston Villa will sign Jadon Sancho permanently if he does one thing this season’
Aston Villa could gear up to make Jadon Sancho a permanent signing in the summer.
Sancho signed on loan from Manchester United on deadline day and has gone on to play a bit-part role under Unai Emery this campaign.
The Englishman has struggled with injuries and has been utilised when fit, unlike Harvey Elliott, who looks destined to leave Villa and return to Liverpool.
The Red Devils loanee came off the bench as Villa secured a 2-1 win against Arsenal to move within three points of the top of the Premier League.
Sancho impressed off the bench against the Gunners and may now have an eye on a summer transfer to become a regular in claret and blue.

Aston Villa set target for Jadon Sancho permanent deal
Sancho followed in Marcus Rashford’s footsteps at Villa after the current Barcelona loanee spent the second half of last season in the Midlands.
This year’s United loanee hasn’t quite succeeded as much as his fellow Englishman, with him yet to score or assist for the Villans.
The winger looked to have turned a corner against Arsenal at Villa Park after what was an impactful performance off the bench.
Sancho played a role in the winning goal and looked closer to his best, something which former Villa scout Bryan King believes needs to be maintained if he is to sign permanently.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: “The game had a great atmosphere. If you’re going to come on with 15 minutes to go, you’re going to be part of that.
“A player of that quality, and he has got quality, if he can’t get involved in that game, then he’s got nothing to do.
“To be fair to him, he came on and did well.
“He’ll be at Villa until the summer, whether he’ll be a permanent signing, we’ll have to wait and see. That’s down to him.
“If he’s of use, they’ll want to sign him, but he hasn’t been that successful wherever he’s been.
“He needs an arm around his shoulder.“
Sancho could be shrewd Aston Villa signing on cut-price deal
The 25-year-old is yet to really show his best form regularly for the Villans after his loan spell has been plagued by injury and fitness issues.
As time goes on, Sancho is only going to get better, especially with Emery behind him, and that will be a boost to Villa’s prospects.

Should the B6 outfit continue on the same trajectory and the wide man’s influence picks up, he could prove to be a useful signing next summer.
Man United are likely to want ties cut with the Englishman at any cost, something which could work in the Villans’ favour.
