Aston Villa vs Arsenal result in Premier League predicted by supercomputer
Aston Villa face an extremely tough test on Saturday as they host Premier League leaders Arsenal at Villa Park.
Ollie Watkins bagged a brace as Aston Villa beat Brighton 4-3 on Wednesday in a chaotic clash at the Amex Stadium.
Unai Emery’s side went 2-0 down in the opening half hour, but Watkins scored twice in quick succession to level the scores going into the break.
Villa pulled away in the second period with Amadou Onana and Donyell Malen putting them into a 4-2 lead, before Jan Paul van Hecke grabbed a late consolation for the hosts.
Three points on the south coast have only boosted an already happy mood in B6, an ideal set-up for a clash against Arsenal on Saturday.

Aston Villa predicted to struggle against Arsenal
Aston Villa have now won six straight games across all competitions and eight of their last nine in the Premier League, after their victory over Brighton.
According to Opta’s Supercomputer, their impressive form is set to come to an end on Saturday, with Arsenal predicted to come away from Villa Park with all three points.
The supercomputer gives Aston Villa a 28.9 per cent chance of winning, while the probability of Mikel Arteta’s side securing the victory is 46.5 per cent.
There is a 24.5 per cent chance that the game ends level, although Villa have not shared the spoils in the Premier League since their 1-1 draw with Sunderland back in September.
History shows Aston Villa can beat Arsenal
Despite Arsenal being big favourites in the Midlands, history shows that Aston Villa are more than capable of causing an upset against the Gunners.
Since their promotion back to the Premier League in 2019, Villa have won five of their 12 league meetings with the North London side.
The claret and blue outfit have lost six out of eight games against teams starting the day top of the table in the past six years, drawing one and winning one.
However, that only victory came against Arsenal back in December 2023, when they beat Arteta’s side 1-0 at Villa Park.
Aston Villa completed the double over the Gunners that season, famously ending their title hopes with a 2-0 win at the Emirates, courtesy of late goals from Leon Bailey and Watkins.
