Aston Villa fans call for Darwin Nunez signing amid Saudi exit update – ‘He’d be so good under Emery’
Aston Villa fans have expressed their desire to sign Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal in January.
A forward signing is on the cards for Villa in January after a generally poor campaign so far from Ollie Watkins in particular.
The England international has been bailed out somewhat by Donyell Malen after his goals against Young Boys, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Burnley this season.
Villa have shown interest in Igor Thiago at Brentford, with a striker addition seemingly on the cards at Villa Park this winter.
Supporters in B6 have reacted to the latest transfer news, backing the claret and blue outfit to make a swoop for Nunez next month.

Darwin Nunez wants to leave Al Hilal
Nunez has faced Villa many times with Liverpool and generally has a positive record against the Villans.
The Uruguay international has chipped in with two goal involvements across five games with the Reds, winning three and drawing two in that time.

The 26-year-old left Anfield in the summer to join Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal, and his record is largely positive so far in the Middle East.
He has already scored four and assisted two in just six matches, but it doesn’t seem as if he is satisfied with the Saudi outfit.
South American outlet Globo have reported that he is unhappy with his current environment and is keen to move on as soon as possible.
With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Nunez wants to play top-level football, something which Villa supporters feel their side can offer this season.
Aston Villa fans want to sign Nunez
The Villans need a striker in January as their recent spell of scoring from outside the box is bound to come to an end at some point.
Nunez could prove to be the man to make the difference under Unai Emery, should a deal be on the table if he leaves the Saudi Pro League.
One Villa fan has put the idea of signing the Uruguayan forward, asking: “Can I say something without anyone getting mad?“
They were met with plenty of replies, which showcase supporters’ desire to actually bring the ex-Benfica man to the Midlands in the summer.
One said, “Unai would make him great again“, while another echoed that sentiment, adding, “He’d be so good under Emery.“
Another suggested that they would “absolutely take him”, while a fellow Villa fan compared Nunez to another Uruguay star, suggesting he could be “Cavani 2.0 under Emery”.
There are so many positive reviews of the former Liverpool man that have outweighed any questions about his quality in front of goal.
Villa need options in January, and there is no getting away from the fact that Nunez would be a useful addition under Emery.
