Investigation already set as ugly scenes explode in Aston Villa win vs Young Boys – Exclusive
Aston Villa watched on as fan disruption was on show from Young Boys on Thursday.
Villa secured a 2-1 win over Young Boys in the Europa League as the home side secured yet another victory at Villa Park.
The Villans were once again looking to Morgan Rogers to perform against Young Boys as the England international put in a stunning performance.
Donyell Malen, just as he did against Burnley, got on the scoresheet in B6 as he bagged a brace to ultimately secure three points in the league phase.
Malen was excellent on the night for Unai Emery’s side, but his two goals were overshadowed by unacceptable behaviour from the travelling fans in the Midlands.

Young Boys set for police investigation after Villa Park violence
Young Boys were welcomed to Villa Park and made a good amount of noise in the early stages despite their small away following.
Things soon got nasty when the claret and blue outfit opened the scoring as Malen headed home from a deft Youri Tielemans cross.
The Netherlands international celebrated at the corner flag in front of away fans, but was totally subdued in his actions.
The Young Boys supporters still threw missiles towards the forward and the Villa players, something which former FIFA official Keith Hackett has suggested will kick-start a police investigation.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Hackett said: “The Aston Villa striker, Malen, having scored a goal, moved towards the corner flag nearest to the Young Boys fans.
“He stood with one hand on the corner flag, not making any derogatory comments or unwise facial expressions and importantly, remaining on the field of play.
“As he turned away to join his team members, an object was thrown and hit Malen on the head. He turned and was about to run and join his colleagues when he was hit on the head.
“Within a short space of time, Aston Villa’s security in large numbers moved to the area.
“There will, of course, be a thorough investigation by the police, who will be looking at surveillance footage in the area from which the object was thrown.“
Donyell Malen innocent of wrongdoing at Aston Villa
Nothing would excuse the actions of Young Boys supporters, who threw various objects at players in the first half.
Some portion of the blame would have been placed at the doors of the Villa players if they had been seen to be inciting violence in B6.
That certainly wasn’t the case, with Malen doing very little to garner such a reaction from the travelling fans.
The Dutchman was totally undeserving of such treatment and should see justice if the police or UEFA are to investigate any individuals.
