Ray Parlour reacts as Alan Brazil questions Premier League title credentials at Aston Villa – ‘They’re capable’
Alan Brazil has questioned whether Aston Villa can win the Premier League this season.
Villa secured a 2-1 win against Leeds United last time around to move up to fourth in the Premier League after 12 games.
Unai Emery has already overseen big Villa wins against Manchester City and Tottenham, turning things around after a poor start to the campaign.
The Villans are now preparing for Europa League action as Villa prepare to host Young Boys in B6, before returning to domestic action against Wolves on Sunday.
A local derby could take the claret and blue outfit to 24 points, leaving Brazil to ask Ray Parlour about Villa’s title chances.

Aston Villa Premier League title credentials assessed
Villa could well qualify for the Champions League this campaign with a top-five finish forecast for the claret and blue outfit.
The B6 faithful are beginning to dream of how far they could go if they continue their recent form deeper into the campaign.
The Villans have lost just one of their last nine Premier League outings, with a frustrating loss away to Anfield being the only blotch on their record since mid-September.
That has seen Villa take advantage of failings at the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United to sit fourth in the table.
With Emery’s men sat just eight points off Arsenal at the top of the tree and two points from second, Brazil has questioned Villa’s title credentials live via talkSPORT on 26 November.
He said: “We’ve not mentioned Villa at all. So, Villa, no chance?“
Parlour isn’t ruling anything out, as he replied: “There’s a lot of clubs who can have a say in who wins it [the Premier League]. I think Arsenal go to Villa on 12 December and they’re capable of beating Arsenal on their day.“
What are Aston Villa’s chances of winning the Premier League?
Parlour may see the potential of a title win in the Midlands, but the probability truly isn’t in the Villans’ favour as things stand.
The Opta supercomputer has given Arsenal the best chance of winning the title, with a 77.85 per cent chance that the Premier League trophy moves to the Emirates.
Manchester City and Chelsea are second and third favourites, with 10.21 and 5.10 per cent chance, respectively, after 12 games.
Villa have been rated behind Liverpool in the title race, with only a 1.85 per cent probability that the Premier League will be adorned with claret and blue ribbon this season.
