Aston Villa set for new multi-million jackpot in B6 after recent developments

Aston Villa are set to receive monetary benefits from UEFA for their progress in the Europa League.

Villa are preparing to face Young Boys at Villa Park in their fifth European outing of the campaign under Unai Emery on Thursday.

The claret and blue outfit currently sits sixth in the Europa League table, with Villa last beating Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 in B6.

The Villans will be keen to maintain their positive form on the continent, with Villa’s defeat away to Go Ahead Eagles being the only blotch on their record so far this campaign.

Success in Europe’s secondary competition is a demand in the Midlands and looks set to come with financial gains in the coming weeks and months.

Aston Villa set for seven figure Europa League payout

Villa look set to qualify for the Europa League knockout stages, but they have further clashes to look forward to until the league phase ends.

The Villans are preparing to face Young Boys on Thursday, but also have an away trip against Basel and a home clash against RB Salzburg to look forward to.

Emery will be expecting positive results in all three upcoming fixtures from a footballing perspective, but the Villa Park hierarchy will also be keen to see as many wins as possible.

Financial expert Dan Plumley has revealed all the financial benefits Villa will receive from individual performances and their final table position in the Europa League.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Plumley said: “You’ve still got your equal participation fee of £3.7m, then £450,000 for a win and £150,000 for a draw.

If you finish between first and eighth, it’s £600,000, and that means you qualify for the round of 16, which is £1.4m.

If you add all of that together, assuming Villa make it to the round of 16 through the top eight, you’re talking around £7m that they’ll have banked from getting to that stage.

You want to be in that top eight, it gives you that financial boost and if you can go deeper into the competition, then you will reap more rewards.

That’s only participation money, that doesn’t include TV pots and other add-ons.

Aston Villa must secure maximum finances from Europa League

The Villans had a hugely frustrating summer window due to PSR and SCR holding them back from spending freely.

Villa were forced to complete loan and free transfers on deadline day, with Evann Guessand being the only big-money signing in B6.

There will be hope that things can be different in January and next season, but the claret and blue outfit needs all the help they can get on the pitch.

If Villa can secure a top-eight finish in the Europa League, the financial boost should have a telling impact on what happens in the upcoming transfer windows in the Midlands.
