Jadon Sancho ready to quit Aston Villa already as club chiefs get involved
Jadon Sancho’s Aston Villa career could already be over as links with Borussia Dortmund intensify.
Sancho joined Aston Villa from Man United on loan, although he is still waiting for his first goal under Unai Emery.
With his Man United contract ending in June 2026, a return to Borussia Dortmund is the most likely option for Sancho at the moment.
However, Borussia Dortmund have made it clear that his wages could become an obstacle when negotiations potentially start in January.

Sancho has had a miserable spell at Man United since he joined the Red Devils in 2021-22, and he is yet to prove himself in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old’s contract expires in June 2026, and he is keen to start entering negotiations with clubs when the January transfer window opens.
As reported by the Daily Mirror, Sancho has been told that he must halve his £300,000-a-week wages if he wants to join Dortmund.
Dortmund’s chiefs have made it abundantly clear that they simply cannot afford to sign him on a free transfer unless he falls in line with their wage structure.

Sancho could return to the German outfit for the third time in his career, and it’s the only club where he’s really experienced success.
Sancho showed promise against Maccabi Tel Aviv, and it’s clear that he is suffering from a lack of confidence and game time in B6.
Of course, Sancho’s future in the Premier League could drastically change if he starts seizing his opportunities at Aston Villa.
Is there hope for Jadon Sancho at Aston Villa?
Marcus Rashford’s success last season has shown that players out of confidence can excel when playing for Emery’s side.
Sancho is hoping to emulate that, but he is finding chances hard to come by in the starting lineup.
Sancho has only played 88 Premier League minutes this season, but there is still plenty of time to turn his fortunes around.
With the Villans playing an obscene amount of games over the festive period, it’s likely that Sancho will have more of an opportunity to showcase his value to the squad.
If he capitalises on his chances, then there’s no reason why a permanent move to Villa is out of the question as the season progresses.
