Aston Villa could do something never seen before at Elland Road, Leeds fans won’t be happy
Aston Villa are hopeful of making history as they face off against Leeds United at Elland Road.
Leeds are set to host Villa in a return to Premier League action after a potentially damaging international break for Unai Emery.
Ezri Konsa and Lamare Bogarde were sent back to Villa, while Matty Cash appeared to pick up a problem while away with Poland.
The Villans can still be confident of a positive result in West Yorkshire after Villa secured a 4-0 win over Bournemouth in their last outing.
The B6 outfit are preparing for a trip to Elland Road and will have the idea of making history away from Villa Park in the back of their minds.

Aston Villa could end historic Leeds United record at Elland Road
Emery’s men are in an excellent run of form, having lost just one Premier League match of their last eight outings.
Villa now look set to face Leeds United in a first away clash since their frustrating defeat away to Liverpool at Anfield on 1 November.
The claret and blue outfit may have a shocking record at Anfield, but they have performed well at Elland Road in recent years.
- 2 October 2022 – Leeds United 0-0 Aston Villa
- 10 March 2022 – Leeds United 0-3 Aston Villa
- 27 February 2021 – Leeds United 0-1 Aston Villa
Leeds have gone three without even scoring a home goal against the Villans, picking up just one point in the process.
This record has provided them with an opportunity to make history in the upcoming clash, as Leeds have never gone four matches against an opponent without scoring.
The probability of a historic outing in LS11 is on the rise, given Villa’s clean sheet record as they have kept seven in all competitions this season.
Daniel Farke and Unai Emery set to face off for first time
Emery will be keen to continue his side’s excellent run of form with a view to potentially moving as high as third in the Premier League table.
Farke will have a similar ambition as Leeds, who have the chance to move as many as four points clear of the relegation zone.
Neither outfit has any true intel to benefit from previous encounters, with both managers set to face each other for the first time.

This isn’t helped by the lack of recent meetings between the clubs, with their last Premier League meeting a 0-0 draw back in October 2022.
So much has changed since that clash, with the men in the dugout just one of many alterations over the last three years.
