Supercomputer predicts where Aston Villa will finish in Europa League after win vs Maccabi Tel Aviv
Aston Villa are predicted to qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League with ease after their win over Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday.
Villa were massive favourites heading into the Europa League match on Thursday, which came as no surprise given the quality of two sides’ squads.
Unai Emery then went on to triumph in Villa’s 2-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv at Villa Park, in a game largely dominated by the Villans.
With Villa’s shock 2-1 defeat to Go Ahead Eagles long forgotten and another win under his belt, Emery has edged one step closer to lifting European silverware this season.

Villa closing in on top spot in Europa League
Villa are expected to finish second in the Europa League table, according to Opta’s supercomputer.
This is one spot behind Midtjylland, who are leading the predicted and real-time table, having won all four of their fixtures thus far.
- Both Villa and Midtjylland are predicted to finish with 18 points
- The Villans have a 90.55 per cent chance of progressing to the last 16
Meanwhile, Villa fans will be pleased to find out that their team have a 47.72 per cent chance of making the final and a 31.74 per cent chance of being crowned Europa League winners.

As a result, there will be high expectations for Emery to deliver a favourable outcome when his side welcome Young Boys on 27 November.
