And they should, with Villa the massive favourites to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv, who are yet to win a game in the Europa League this season.

Villa were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool on Saturday, after Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch netted either side of half time.

It was a disappointing performance from Emery's side, who had come into the game off the back of wins against Tottenham and Manchester City.

But the Villans struggled to create any big chances against the home side, often resorting to pop shots from outside the box.

With a kinder run of fixtures now approaching, Villa will hope to start in the right way by defeating Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday.
