Victor Lindelof is already finished at Aston Villa amid £30.4m January transfer development
Victor Lindelof could be about to find himself on the way out of Aston Villa in January.
The Sweden international has played just a handful of Premier League minutes since his arrival at the end of the summer, and is yet to truly make an impact in B6.
Lindelof penned a two-year Aston Villa deal on deadline day, after he had spent the entire summer as a free agent, having been released by Manchester United at the end of the previous campaign.
The centre-back has been firmly on the fringes of Unai Emery’s squad since then, and he may be forced to rethink his situation in January following a fresh development involving Villa.

Yann Bisseck deal could be back on for Aston Villa in January
Aston Villa were linked with a move for Yann Biseck in the summer, but Inter Milan ultimately opted to keep hold of the centre-back.
The Italian giants instead sold Benjamin Pavard, which meant that the attempts from Villa and Crystal Palace to land the German for a fee of around £30.4million were knocked back, according to Tutto Sport.
However, Bisseck has already drifted to the fringes of the squad at the San Siro, having featured in just one of their opening six Serie A games.
It is now understood that a January exit could be on the cards for the 24-year-old, who is keen to try and force his way into the Germany squad for next summer’s World Cup.
The lack of gametime that he has received could be enough to tempt the defender into trying to force a move, which would certainly play into the hands of Emery and Co., assuming that they still wanted to bring him in.
Yann Bisseck arrival would end Victor Lindelof gamble
Lindelof’s arrival at Aston Villa was certainly a surprise, and given the timing in the latter stages of the window, it is hard to view it as anything other than a panic buy.
- Lindelof started just six Premier League games for Manchester United last season
- He hasn’t surpassed 20 league appearances in any of the last three campaigns
The second city outfit were hindered badly by their PSR constraints throughout the summer window, and the late move for the 31-year-old stinks of a last-minute gamble on a player who was available on the cheap.
The former Benfica man was found wanting with his performances at Old Trafford on several occasions, and it is no surprise to see that he has been unable to earn a regular place at Villa Park.
Bisseck’s arrival would force him down the pecking order even further, and with him unlikely to get a game ahead of the likes of Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings, it would surely spell the end for him.
