This is how much Morgan Rogers could earn as Aston Villa ready another new contract

Morgan Rogers has been a revelation since joining Aston Villa.

Since his £15m move from Middlesbrough in January 2024, Rogers has helped bring Champions League football to Villa Park and played a huge part in their run to the competition’s quarter-finals.

However, despite the fact that Rogers has started this season out of form, Unai Emery has never doubted the potential the 23-year-old has.

As a result, Rogers could be set for a monstrous pay rise as Aston Villa look to start contract negotiations with their prized star yet again.

Morgan Rogers set to be among Aston Villa’s top earners

Rogers’ first England goal against Wales on Thursday showcased how much Thomas Tuchel values him despite his underwhelming start to the Premier League season.

Rogers won the PFA Young Premier League Player of the Season in 2024-25, and his stellar performances earned him a first England call-up in November 2024.

With the 2026 World Cup eight months away, Rogers looks set to make Tuchel’s squad, which would mark a brilliant achievement given the range of attacking talent that England has at their disposal.

His meteoric rise to becoming one of England’s most talented players has been facilitated by the faith Emery placed in him, and this has led to the possibility of Rogers renewing his Aston Villa contract.

Rogers’ record for Aston Villa in all competitions

As reported by The Sun on 12 October, Rogers is set to be rewarded for impact at Villa by being offered a contract that could see him earn close to what Ollie Watkins and Emi Martinez are currently on.

This would mean he’d earn around £7.5million-a-year, averaging out to around £144,000-a-week.

It’s nothing less than Rogers deserves, and Villa will need to retain his services if they want to maintain their brilliant progression since Emery moved to B6 in October 2022.

For Villa, the most important thing is ensuring that Rogers doesn’t leave the club for one of their Premier League rivals.

Morgan Rogers is Aston Villa’s most valuable asset

Rogers was linked with Arsenal in the summer transfer window, yet Villa made their stance clear that the attacking midfielder was not for sale.

Hw has followed the path of Michael Olise and Jude Bellingham by showcasing his true potential in the Championship before seamlessly adapting to football at a higher level.

It is clear now that with Villa’s squad starting to age, and PSR forcing them to sell Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle, Rogers holds the most value out of any player.

As clubs continue to circle around him, news that Villa are set to offer Rogers a new deal will have supporters breathing a huge sigh of relief.
