Which games Evann Guessand could miss after developments away from Aston Villa
Evann Guessand has had a mixed start to life at Aston Villa since joining in the summer.
With two wins from their first seven games of the season, Aston Villa’s Premier League campaign has not got off to the way they would have hoped.
The Villans added five new signings to their squad in the summer, with Guessand‘s move from Nice the only one that set them back a significant amount of money.
Guessand is currently away on international duty, and after what happened on Friday night, he is almost nailed on to miss a significant number of games for Villa when AFCON gets underway.

Evann Guessand scored in 7-0 win for Ivory Coast
Guessand has yet to get on the scorsheet for Aston Villa, though he did notch a goal for the Ivory Coast national team over the break.
It’s difficult to say it was a crucial goal in terms of the result, but it almost definitely confirms that he will have a part to play in AFCON, with his country set for qualification.
As a result, he could potentially miss up to seven Aston Villa games.
The tournament gets underway on 21 December, with the final scheduled for 18 January, which the Ivory Coast are rather likely to be in after winning the competition last time out.

Aston Villa are due to face Fenerbahce just four days after that, but Guessand is highly unlikely to be involved if his nation does indeed go all the way.
Prior to that, the 24-year-old will miss the following clashes:
- Man United (Away)
- Chelsea (Away)
- Arsenal (Away)
- Nottingham Forest (Home)
- Crystal Palace (away)
- Everton (Home)
