Denzel Dumfries wants transfer as Aston Villa told exactly how much to pay up

Denzel Dumfries could end up in the Premier League with Aston Villa.

Villa were linked with Dumfries through the summer, as Unai Emery searched for a replacement for Matty Cash.

However, the Villa Park outfit were hampered by Profit and Sustainability regulations as they tried to balance the books.

That ultimately seemed to play a part in Monchi’s departure from the Villans, but they should be on firmer footing and may try again for the Dutchman’s signature.

Denzel Dumfries still wants Premier League move

Villa could target Inter star Dumfries again, as he is still interested in playing in the English top-flight.

A report from Inter Live on 10 October claims that Dumfries wanted a transfer to the Premier League at the end of last season and still wants that move.

It states that his wage demands would be a sticking point, as Villa did not want to pursue the Dutchman in the summer after learning of his £5.2million yearly salary demands.

Dumfries could reduce wage demands to force Aston Villa move

If the Inter star wants to move to England, and the Villans reignite their interest in the winter transfer window, then he will surely have to reduce his wage demands.

If the Villans were not willing to pay such an amount then, they will not suddenly change their mind, even after sorting the PSR situation out, at least to some extent.

Dumfries may decide to reduce his demands to force through a move to B6, if it helps him to achieve his dream of playing in English football.

Villa are still under watch from UEFA, so they would not break their wage structure for Dumfries, even if his quality would work wonders for their squad.

Despite his age, he is close to reaching 30 years old, he would still be a brilliant addition for Emery’s side, whether they make a move, remains to be seen.
