Supercomputer predicts outcome of Aston Villa vs Leicester City Women clash
Aston Villa Women are set to host Leicester on Sunday as they look to pick up back-to-back wins.
While many of Aston Villa’s men’s side are away on international duty, the women’s team remain in action this weekend.
Natalia Arroyo’s side picked up their first win of the season last weekend when they overcame West Ham 2-0.
Villa Women oversaw an exciting summer, signing players such as Maya Hijikata.
Now, they will be looking to push further up the table when they take on Leicester on Sunday.

Aston Villa Women heavy favourites for Leicester clash
Going into the match, Villa Women will be expected to overcome Leicester.
The Foxes have had a difficult start to the campaign and have only picked up four points in the opening five matches.
While Villa may have lost players such as Jordan Nobbs in the summer, they still boast an excellent team, and should have more than enough quality to overcome their WSL1 rivals.
- Aston Villa are expected to beat Leicester
- The Birmingham outfit did not manage to overcome the Foxes last season
- Villa are currently one place above Leicester in the WSL table
Now, this has been reflected in Opta’s predictions on 10 October.
The supercomputer believes that Villa have a 52.6 per cent chance of picking up three points on Sunday.
In comparison, Leicester’s odds sit at just 23.2 per cent, with a draw being seen as a 24.2 per cent chance.

Aston Villa Women have a great record against Leicester
While Aston Villa Women may be having potential issues off the pitch, this isn’t reflected on it.
The Birmingham outfit have an outstanding recent record against the Foxes, winning eight of their last 14 meetings.
In fact, Leicester have only won once, showcasing how dominant Villa have been.
However, with Villa unable to overcome the Foxes last season, the Birmingham outfit will be aiming to strike revenge on Sunday and pull away from the bottom of the table.
