Lamare Bogarde set to be given green light by Unai Emery amid latest Villa Park update
Unai Emery has had a rollercoaster start to the season with Aston Villa.
Emery was on the brink of losing his Villa job, but now has guided his side to three wins in a row.
Aston Villa players have also come under fire this campaign, with Morgan Rogers receiving criticism, as well as Ollie Watkins. Two players who have been so crucial for Emery previously.
However, the Villains now look back to their best, and midfielder Lamare Bogarde may now be given the best opportunity of his career after a Youri Tielemans update.

Youri Tielemans’ injury setback gifts Lamare Bogarde more playing chances
Tielemans has been out since coming off with a calf issue when Aston Villa drew 0-0 to Everton in September. Since then, Bogarde has played and impressed for Villa in both Premier League and Champions League matches.
Now, according to The Athletic’s reporter Jacob Tanswell, Tielemans has suffered a further setback with his calf injury and is expected to be out for another five weeks.
- Bogarde started in both of Villa’s last two Premier League wins
- He also played 19 minutes in the Champions League against Feyenoord
- The midfielder has made eight appearances already this campaign
Tielemans has been a crucial part of the success Emery has seen so far at Villa, as fans will be hoping their creative midfielder makes a swift recovery at B6.
Emery has shown a big show of faith in the young Dutchman, and now has his best opportunity yet in making a name for himself.
Aston Villa have good backup to Tielemans in Andre Onana and Bogarde
There’s no hiding away from the fact that Tielemans’ absence will be a big blow, especially through a period congested with fixtures.
However, Bogarde will be champing at the bit to get on the pitch and prove his worth, as Amadou Onana has also returned from injury.
The Belgium midfielder came on in the 90th minute for Villa against Burnley and will be eased back into the mix, as Onana has also been linked away from Villa.
Bogarde needs to grab this golden opportunity with both hands.
