How to watch today’s Aston Villa vs Burnley Premier League game: TV channel, live stream, kick-off time

Aston Villa welcome Burnley to Villa Park on Sunday, as they look to get their second consecutive Premier League win.

Emi Buendia and John McGinn scored as Villa beat Feyenoord 2-0 on Thursday, in what was a closely-contested affair.

The Eredivisie leaders dominated large chunks of the action, and Marco Bizot was forced to make eight saves.

The goalkeeper, along with Ezri Konsa and Buendia, impressed massively against Feyenoord and have given themselves a great chance of starting Sunday’s game.

Villa are expected to beat Burnley, although the visitors have proven their ability to compete in the Premier League so far this season.

How to watch Aston Villa vs Burnley

Storm Amy should narrowly avoid interfering with Villa’s game with Burnley, with much of the bad weather expected to clear up by Sunday.

In its absence, Emery will hope to create some storms of his own for Villa‘s opponents.

Burnley have struggled since their return to the Premier League, but could not have asked for a much more difficult run of fixtures.

The Championship runners-up have already played four of the current top seven, with their other games coming against Manchester United at Old Trafford, and Nottingham Forest.

And at times, the Clarets have held their own. Against Liverpool, Scott Parker’s side defended brilliantly, and were on the wrong end of a cruel 95th-minute penalty.

Villa’s game against Burnley will be available to watch on Sky Sports+, and can be streamed by those with the Sky Sports app, or Now TV.

Aston Villa vs Burnley kick-off time

Villa have played Burnley 15 times since 1976, with the sides finally meeting in the Premier League for the first time in 2009.

The Villans have won seven of those fixtures, with five of them ending level and Burnley taking the points on three occasions.

The last time the sides met was at Villa Park in 2023, when Vincent Kompany was in charge of the Clarets.

Villa led three times and Sander Berge was sent off on the day, with Douglas Luiz scoring an 89th-minute winner from the spot to hand the Villans the three points.

Emery will hope for a slightly more comprehensive victory when Villa play Burnley at 14:00 BST on Sunday.
