Boubacar Kamara just did something vs Burnley that he hasn’t in his previous 71 Premier League games
Boubacar Kamara was in sensational form on Sunday as Aston Villa won their fourth consecutive game across all competitions.
Villa beat Burnley 2-1, with Donyell Malen‘s goals either side of half-time proving enough to earn Unai Emery‘s men the three points.
Lesley Ugochukwu’s late goal did make for a nervous finish at Villa Park, but the Villans held strong.
Kamara was snubbed for France’s upcoming international games, despite enjoying a superb season for the Villans.
Emery will be happy to keep his midfielder wrapped in cotton wool for the next two weeks, however.

Boubacar Kamara in remarkable assist stat
Kamara suffered an injury at the start of the season for Villa, and it is no surprise that the Villans’ form has only improved since his return.
Against Burnley, the midfielder was absolutely excellent. It was his pass that unleashed Malen for the game’s opening goal, eyeing a stunning pass that cut the Clarets’ back line in half.

And when the going got tough in the second half, the Frenchman was everywhere for Villa.
Winning most of his duels and completing nearly all of his passes, Kamara was an assured presence for Emery’s team, and helped them get over the line.
The 25-year-old has now registered two assists in his last three Premier League appearances, which, according to BBC Sport, is as many as he had across his first 72 appearances in the top flight.
Villa have a gem in Kamara
It is quite incredible to think that when Kamara arrived at Villa Park in 2022, he did so on a free transfer.
Fast forward just over three years, and the midfielder’s value likely carries the best part of £100million.
But that is not to say Villa would even consider letting the Frenchman, who signed a new contract in the summer, go.
Kamara is a key part of Emery’s midfield, and he demonstrated it once again on Sunday.
Whether he is alongside John McGinn, Lamare Bogarde, Amadou Onana or Youri Tielemans, there is always one constant – and that is the brilliance of Kamara.
