How to watch today’s Aston Villa vs Feyenoord Europa League game: TV channel, live stream, kick-off time

Aston Villa travel to Rotterdam to take on Feyenoord on Thursday, in their second Europa League fixture of the season.

The first saw Villa beat Bologna 1-0 at Villa Park, after John McGinn found the net with a driven strike from outside the box.

Unai Emery‘s side had dominated the early exchanges and should have doubled their advantage when Ollie Watkins was brought down in the box, but the striker’s tame effort from the spot was saved.

Watkins scored against Fulham on Sunday, however, to get a much-needed first goal of the season.

Emery had been under massive pressure at Villa, but the last week appears to have shelved any imminent discussions about the manager’s position, for now.

How to watch Feyenoord vs Aston Villa

Villa are the favourites against Feyenoord, despite the home side’s superb form this season.

Robin van Persie‘s side have bounced back from the disappointment of missing out on the title last season by winning six of their opening seven Eredivisie games.

Sunday saw them travel to Groningen, with Ayase Ueda’s second-half header giving the league leaders a 1-0 victory.

But in the Europa League, Feyenoord were handed a narrow loss by SC Braga in their first match.

Viewers can watch Villa live on TNT Sports 3, whilst viewers can stream the game live on the Discovery+ app or the online TNT player.

Those preferring to listen can do so on BBC Radio West Midlands.

Villa have travelled to the Netherlands just twice in European competition, with both games coming in the 2023-24 UEFA Conference League campaign.

The first of which came against AZ Alkmaar, where Villa emerged 4-1 victors courtesy of goals from Leon Bailey, Youri Tielemans, Watkins and McGinn.

Emery’s side were held to a goalless draw against Ajax later in the first leg of the last 16, and would go on to smash the Dutch side 4-0 at Villa Park.

In fact, Villa have never lost a game against Dutch competition, and will hope to sustain that record on Thursday.

The Villans’ meeting with Feyenoord will kick off at 20:00 BST on Thursday.
