Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens ‘unhappy’ at Aston Villa as sale timeline emerges at Villa Park

Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens could soon be on their way out of Aston Villa.

NSWE haven’t been seen at a Villa match for months, sparking concern among the Villa Park faithful after a poor start to the campaign.

Until Villa beat Fulham 3-1 last time out, they had gone five Premier League games without a victory, having netted just one goal in the process.

This has seen sack pressure build on Unai Emery at Villa, even after a terrific two-year stint in charge of the claret and blue outfit.

Now, fears have emerged that could see Sawiris and Edens move on in the near future as their B6 frustrations continue to grow.

Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens could soon sell Aston Villa

After a hugely frustrating summer due to PSR concerns, it did feel as if NSWE had let Emery down as Villa manager.

This has been reflected on the pitch after the Spaniard has overseen just two wins in all competitions, raising frustration among the wider football community.

Villa are now sat 16th in the Premier League, a far cry from the hunt for Champions League qualification that many would have expected.

If this trend is to continue, former Leicester City and Brentford manager Martin Allen believes NSWE could look to move on in the near future.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Allen said: “I’m sure they’re frustrated as well. Aston Villa will just be a hobby for them, part of their play den.

There will be other things that they do that mean they have a ‘take it with a pinch of salt’ type attitude.

They’ll get in, make their money from the Premier League, and in a few years’ time they will go on to something else.

For now, though, they will be unhappy. They aren’t going to be happy with where they are in the Premier League.

Aston Villa will fear Sawiris and Edens’ exit

When the Egyptian and American duo came in, Villa were in the worst position in their history.

The pair rescued the claret and blue outfit from the brink and have since overseen some of the brightest days in Villa’s history.

Carrying the B6 club from the Championship to the Champions League has been achieved, with barely a foot wrongly placed in that time.

As a result, losing Sawiris and Edens could prove to be hugely damaging to the Villans.

This would likely cause many supporters to fear the worst, so keeping them in the boardroom at Bodymoor Heath has to be seen as a priority.
