Non-league club mocks Aston Villa as embarrassing news emerges ahead of Sunderland kick-off
Aston Villa have been dreadful so far this season.
Unai Emery’s men are winless in their first four Premier League outings, and Villa were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Brentford in midweek as things continue to go from bad to worse.
Morgan Rogers has started the season poorly alongside Ollie Watkins as the attackers do not seem to have fully recovered after being continually linked with moves away from Villa Park over the summer.
With new signing Jadon Sancho also failing to impress on his debut, everyone seems to be laughing at Villa at the moment.

Acle United latest to taunt Aston Villa over unwanted record
Whilst Harvey Elliott’s goal against Brentford ended the Villans’ goal drought in all competitions, they are yet to end their drought in the Premier League.
Villa are the only side in the Premier League with this unfortunate distinction this season, and as the days have gone by, it has only gotten worse and worse for the B6 outfit.
In page 51 of The Sun on Sunday on 21 September, they reported that following Acle United’s goal in their most recent 4-2 defeat against Easton on Saturday, Villa are not just the only side in the Premier League to have not scored, they are now the only side in England’s top 11 tiers who are yet to find the back of the net.
The non-league club were quick to poke fun at Villa on social media following their first goal of the campaign, as they posted “We beat you to it” on X before tagging Villa’s official account.
Sunderland game a must-win for Aston Villa
After their lack of activity in the summer transfer window, Villa supporters were resigned to the fact that challenging for a spot in the Champions League was likely a step too far for the squad that Emery has at his disposal.
However, this drop off so far has been steeper than anyone could have anticipated and with another loss to Sunderland, Emery could quickly find his position as manager under genuine threat.
This would have been unthinkable for supporters just a couple of months ago, but it is now an alarming possibility.
Villa simply have to beat a newly promoted side, even if they are away from home, and the travelling supporters are more than deserving of finally seeing their side score a goal or two.
