Jack Grealish announcement made ahead of Everton vs Aston Villa

Jack Grealish is set to line up against Aston Villa with Everton on Saturday afternoon.

Villa are set to face Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as they travel away from Villa Park for just the second time this season.

This comes nearly two weeks after Villa fell to defeat against Crystal Palace, with the international break arguably coming at the perfect time for Unai Emery and Co.

With that being said, Villa looked likely to face Grealish for the first time since he left Manchester City on loan to move to Merseyside.

Now, an announcement has been made surrounding Grealish before the Villans take the trip to face the Toffees and their former skipper.

Premier League release Jack Grealish announcement

There was no shortage of links of Grealish returning to Aston Villa throughout the summer after his spell under Pep Guardiola came to an end.

Given the financial situation that the claret and blue outfit found themselves in, it appears that this became impossible to sanction in the Midlands.

This saw the Toffees make a swoop for the England international and land him on a loan until the end of the campaign.

It appears that this has been a stroke of genius from David Moyes after the ex-Villa man picked up four assists in his opening three games in blue.

This ended with Grealish picking up a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award alongside the likes of Erling Haaland, Hugo Ekitike and Joao Pedro, among others.

Now, ahead of Villa’s clash against Everton, it has been confirmed that the Birmingham-born attacking midfielder has won the award.

Aston Villa missed a trick with Jack Grealish

It felt like such an obvious signing that many associated with the claret and blue outfit were actually against signing the Englishman.

This looks to have been an error in judgment, given how excellent Grealish has been since pulling on an Everton shirt.

It is clear that his quality hasn’t gone away and continues to be the excellent operator that he always was, showcasing just how low his confidence was at Man City.

With him now being Player of the Month, there will be genuine fear for Villa of facing their ex-captain, and only time will tell as to how he will get on against the Villans in L4.
