Aston Villa’s new squad value revealed after Unai Emery’s deadline day shopping spree
Unai Emery was forced to deal with a turbulent summer at Aston Villa.
The Villans had widely reported financial concerns throughout the window, with Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris sharing his annoyance about PSR and the likes.
With that being said, Emery’s struggles in the market had become clear after Villa’s 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace at Villa Park.
As a result, there was a massive need for deadline day business with Harvey Elliott coming in from Liverpool alongside Jadon Sancho and Victor Lindelof.
Now, Villa News has assessed the new squad value of the B6 club moving deeper into the Premier League season, off the back of three consecutive defeats.

Morgan Rogers is the most valuable player at Aston Villa
Even with Villa’s loan addition of Sancho from Manchester United and Elliott from Liverpool, the top value assets in the Midlands haven’t changed.
With that being said, it is little surprise that Rogers sits at the top of the value list in claret and blue, especially after winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
The England international’s market value comes in at £47.8million, sitting ahead of Amadou Onana at £43.4m and Ollie Watkins and Boubacar Kamara, who are both valued at £34.7m.
Name | Market Value (£) |
Morgan Rogers | 47.84m |
Amadou Onana | 43.49m |
Ollie Watkins | 34.79m |
Boubacar Kamara | 34.79m |
Youri Tielemans | 33.05m |
Ironically, it is a summer signing who comes in as the lowest value asset, with Marco Bizot representing £2.6m after his move from Brest.
The Dutchman comes narrowly ahead of Tyrone Mings at £4.3m and Lamare Bogarde at £5.2m, with all three coming in lower than many would expect.
Without the summer signings, the market value of the squad comes in at around £394m, something which has been boosted by the market.

Harvey Elliott and Jadon Sancho boost squad value
They may not be in the top five for market value in the claret and blue squad, but there is no doubt that the summer recruits have improved the makeup of the side in the Midlands.
With Elliott and Sancho coming in at £26m and £24.3m respectively, they rank comfortably within the 10 most valuable Villa players right now.
Outside of that, Evann guessand comes in at £21.7m, while Lindelof sits at £6.9m after joining on a free transfer following his Manchester United departure.
All these new signings have ultimately contributed to the Villa squad value improving by £81.5m to a healthy £475.5m for the current campaign.
As positive as this may seem, this sees Emery’s side sit ninth in terms of total value in the entire Premier League, showcasing the issues they have faced this summer.
