Morgan Rogers sends four-word message as Aston Villa finalise huge agreement
Aston Villa’s transfer window was a huge disappointment up until deadline day.
With the clock ticking down, Monchi and Co. managed to secure two blockbuster deals.
Harvey Elliott and Jadon Sancho both joined Aston Villa on loan as the extra artillery that Unai Emery evidently needed in his forward line was provided to the Spaniard.
With marquee signings like Elliott arriving at Villa Park, Morgan Rogers has reacted to the final day of business for the Villans.

Morgan Rogers excited by Harvey Elliott arrival
Rogers was linked with a move to Tottenham over the course of the transfer window, but attracting quality signings like Sancho and Elliott is one way to keep him around.
Underneath one of the Instagram posts announcing Elliott as a Villan, Rogers commented, writing: “Let’s get it, brother,” followed by three heart emojis.
- The pair have previously been teammates at England Under-21s
- Elliott is coming off the back of a prolific European Championship campaign with England’s youth side, as the attacking midfielder scored five goals in six games
- His inspired performances, including a goal in the final, led to England being the eventual winners of the tournament
The prospect of seeing Rogers line up with Elliott and Sancho next to him, whilst Ollie Watkins leads the line, is an exciting prospect for every Villa fan and one that is sure to end their goal drought.
Evann Guessand could be frozen out of the starting XI
Before Elliott and Sancho’s arrival, Evan Guessand was one of the few players Villa had recruited during the window.
The 24-year-old started in Villa’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace over the weekend, but was ultimately hooked at half-time in favour of Emi Buendia.
- Guessand lost possession eight times after only having 23 touches in total
- He was also poor in duels, winning just two of eight, as he evidently struggled with the physicality of the Premier League
- None of the two dribbles Guessand attempted were successful
If the new signing cannot find his feet quickly, he risks being unable to break back into the side, with Villa now boasting impressive depth in their forward areas.
