What Aston Villa will have to pay for Harvey Elliott after terms agreed with Liverpool
Aston Villa’s transfer window finally has lift off as Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott is set to sign.
Villa fans will be wondering where this has been all summer, with a frantic deadline day taking all kinds of turns already on Monday.
Unai Emery is working on a solution for Emi Martinez, with a move to Manchester United falling through after he refused to play against Crystal Palace.
However, Aston Villa are set to make new signings of their own, with Jadon Sancho and Harvey Elliott heading to Villa Park.

Aston Villa to pay £35million obligatory fee for Harvey Elliott
Aston Villa previously failed in their pursuit of attackers on loan, with Nicolas Jackson preferring Bayern Munich, and Marco Asensio heading to Fenerbahce.
However, it now appears they have struck gold with the loan signing of Elliott.
According to transfer expert Paul Joyce on X, Liverpool want a buy obligation in the contract worth around £35million.

Elliott was England’s main talisman in the Under-21 Euros, and has attracted plenty of interest this summer as he pursues regular first-team football.
West Ham and RB Leipzig are among the clubs that have looked at the young star, but Villa are set to win the race.
The fee would be a bargain for Emery’s side, given that the Reds have been asking for £50million for the attacker throughout the summer.
Elliott is on just £40,000 a week with Liverpool, and the Villans will have to cover the whole of his wage, which would add up to a bargain £2million over the year.

What does Harvey Elliott’s arrival mean for Morgan Rogers?
Morgan Rogers could still leave Aston Villa, with Tottenham showing plenty of interest.
Elliott’s signing could open the door for his exit, but it will mean a change of role for the attacker either way.
Rogers has predominantly featured on the left for Villa, but he may be utilised through the middle more, with Elliott taking his place.
Emi Buendia’s potential exit makes a new number ten vital, and Rogers could be the perfect option.
