Liverpool get their wish as full details emerge on Harvey Elliott to Aston Villa transfer
Aston Villa have taken a step closer to signing Harvey Elliott from Liverpool.
Elliott emerged as a late target for Villa on deadline day, with a deal quickly accelerating for the England under-21 international at Villa Park.
This comes for Villa despite Elliott’s previous personal terms agreement with RB Leipzig, but it now looks as if the attacking midfielder is going to link up with Unai Emery in B6.
Negotiations had been underway regarding the structure of a deal for Elliott between Villa and Liverpool, with just hours remaining until the window closes.
Now, it appears that an agreement for Elliott is increasingly likely after the claret and blue outfit caved to Arne Slot and Co.’s demands at Anfield.

It looks as if the 22-year-old is going to come through the Bodymoor Heath doors, potentially alongside Villa target Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.
This could prove to be exactly what the Villans need after falling to a humiliating defeat against Crystal Palace ahead of deadline day.
It appears that the B6 club haven’t let this impact their mindset moving towards the end of the window, with plenty of activity underway.
This looks likely to end with Elliott coming in, especially after Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg reported on 1 September that he considered a move a “done deal”.
With that, the report also details that Villa have agreed to a loan with an obligation to buy the attacker for around £35million, with a medical now underway in the Midlands.
Aston Villa need Harvey Elliott
The performance and general feeling surrounding the Crystal Palace defeat has sparked genuine concerns about how poor this season could be in B6.
As a result, the claret and blue faithful are in desperate need of some positivity to hang onto before the window slams shut.
This is exactly what the addition of Elliott would do, coming off the back of winning the Player of the Tournament at the U21 EUROs.
