Aston Villa in late Jadon Sancho transfer push as double agreement on cards with Man United
Aston Villa look set to have a busy transfer deadline day.
On the pitch, Unai Emery’s side have been atrocious to start the new season, with one point from their opening three games and zero goals scored so far.
Aston Villa’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace was the final reminder that this Villa team needs investment if they are to at the very least challenge for a Champions League spot this season.
NSWE look set to respond, with Jadon Sancho potentially arriving from Manchester United, whilst another Villa player makes the move to Old Trafford in two separate deals.

Aston Villa in negotiations for Jadon Sancho
Sancho’s proposed move to B6 is likely to have former Villa player Marcus Rashford’s seal of approval, with the Barcelona man previously being full of praise for his former teammate.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano on X, negotiations between Villa and Man United for Sancho are ongoing.
If Sancho does not decide his future today, then the 25-year-old will have to move to a club outside of Europe.
- Sancho spent the last Premier League campaign on loan at Chelsea
- The England international made 31 Premier League appearances during his stint at Stamford Bridge
- Sancho managed to score three goals and assist four more in a relatively productive season down south
A separate deal for Emi Martinez is also being discussed, with the two clubs attempting to get both deals done before 7 pm.
The Argentine shot-stopper was absent from the squad that took on Palace, with the Aston Villa supporters chanting Marco Bizot’s name in a clear dig towards Martinez.

Given his age, 32, and the fact that he decided to feature in the squad against Palace yesterday, the decision to cash in on Martinez looks to be a correct one from Monchi and Co.
The Argentina international also had a shaky moment in what looks to be his final Premier League appearance for Villa against Brentford, with the goalkeeper failing to deal with a long throw-in before the loose ball was fired into the back of the net.
Luckily for Martinez, his blushes were spared as a soft foul was given by VAR, and the goal was disallowed.
However, with Bizot also being 34, he is evidently not the club’s long-term solution to play in between the sticks, but for now, Emery may have to settle on the Dutchman.
