Aston Villa asking price revealed as Manchester United ready Emi Martinez agreement
Emi Martinez has already ruined his reputation at Aston Villa after he refused to play against Crystal Palace.
Martinez is trying to force a move to Manchester United, with the Red Devils stepping up their interest in their long-term target.
Aston Villa supporters have already let their feelings be known towards the Argentine, with chants of “Marco Bizot, the world’s number one” during the 3-0 defeat to Palace.
There is still no guarantee that Martinez will leave Villa in the coming hours, with Man United looking at multiple options in goal.

Aston Villa value Emi Martinez at £35million
Aston Villa have had plenty of struggles in the transfer window so far due to Profit and Sustainability rules.
In recent days, they have missed out on Nicolas Jackson, with the striker set to remain at Chelsea, and Jaydee Canvot, who is joining Crystal Palace.
Priority has been on keeping their best players, but Emery hasn’t even managed that, with Jacob Ramsey joining Newcastle, and Martinez now on his way out.
Transfer expert Ben Jacobs told TalkSport (7:24am): “Emi Martinez is the one to watch, Manchester United have got two goalkeeper options.
“One is the experienced option in Emi Martinez. Villa have been asking for around £35million. Let’s see if that price drops and Emi Martinez wants the move.
- Villa conceded three from an expected goals of 2.67 against Palace
- In comparison, they amassed an xg of just 1.13
- Both sides had four shots on target
“It’s not yet guaranteed because United also want Senne Lammens from Antwerp, and interestingly intertwined into this interesting story is Villa, like Lammens as well, so if Martinez goes, you could have Lammens to Aston Villa.”
Deadline day isn’t boding well for Emery, who admitted that he didn’t know whether Martinez would still be a Villa player come the end of the window, following defeat to Palace.
Although Bizot was serenated by supporters, he was at fault for two of the goals conceded, and Villa’s search for a replacement must intensify.

Aston Villa to get the better deal if they sign Senne Lammens
Should Martinez’s exit open the door for Lammens, they will be getting the better of the deal.
The 23-year-old has amassed five years of experience in Belgium and looks ready for the next step.
Lammens is valued at just £17million, so the Villans would be making money in the possible transaction, and he managed 10 clean sheets in 40 games last season.
Martinez’s future is limited either way, and Lammens’ career is just getting started, and Villa’s ability to make money on the Belgian in the future makes the deal a no-brainer.
