Harvey Elliott personal terms agreed as Aston Villa ready last-ditch hijack
Aston Villa could be in line to make a late swoop to sign Harvey Elliott from Liverpool.
Villa have been linked with a move for Elliott since early in the summer window, as Unai Emery clearly looks to add an attacking midfielder to his squad at Villa Park.
This has also seen Lucas Paqueta be strongly linked with a Villa switch, but West Ham could remain stern in keeping hold of the Brazil international.
As a result, Monchi and Co. could instead go after other targets, which could once again see Villa activate interest in the £50million-rated Elliott at Liverpool.
With the 1 September transfer deadline fast approaching, the Villans have maintained their place in the race to sign Elliott.

Aston Villa poised to make Harvey Elliott swoop
After the Under-21 European Championship, there is no hiding away from the amount of interest that was shown in the Anfield ace.
This saw Martin Allen back Villa to make a swoop for Elliott due to his ability to impact matches with goals and assist when given the opportunity.

That could certainly be the case in B6 as the claret and blue outfit go in search of fresh attacking depth before the end of the window.
This could see the Villans step up their interest in the Liverpool man with just a day remaining until the window slams shut in the Midlands.
With that in mind, the Sunday Mirror reported on 31 August, page 63, that Villa and Crystal Palace are readying last-minute moves for Elliott.
Despite previously agreed terms over a move to RB Leipzig, the 22-year-old has remained at Anfield but could now still depart on loan or on a permanent deal in the £50m region.

Harvey Elliott or Lucas Paqueta could join Aston Villa
There is no lack of transfer links in B6 right now, but it is still a question of whether business will get done before the window ends.
With that being said, it looks as if the Villans have positive options in the shape of Elliott and Paqueta to pick between at this late stage of the summer.
It will certainly be interesting to see if a deal can be forced through for either of these star names as Emery searches for much-needed additions to his squad.
