Aston Villa are signing new and improved Gabby Agbonlahor who’s been called ‘sensational’
Aston Villa have done little business in the transfer window so far, but now look to be springing to life.
Lucas Paqueta and Villa are in advanced talks, with Unai Emery looking to sign the West Ham attacking midfielder.
On top of this, Harvey Elliott could well move to Villa Park, as transfer deadline day closes in.
With the window set to shut at 7pm on 1 September, Emery is keen to bring in numerous bodies to help return the B6 club to the Champions League.

Aston Villa close in on new Gabby Agbonlahor
It was reported on Sunday that Villa are set to sign youngster Fletcher Boyd from Aberdeen for around £1million plus add-ons.
The 17-year-old is believed to have high potential and is currently having a medical after agreeing personal terms.
With the attacking midfielder becoming Aberdeen’s youngest-ever scorer in May 2024, Boyd could well be the next Gabby Agbonlahor.
- Boyd is set to move to Aston Villa in the coming days
- The 17-year-old only signed a new three-year contract at Aberdeen last season
- Boyd has scored two goals for the Dons in 12 matches
Described as “sensational” by Joe Harper in the Press and Journal on 17 May 2024, the youngster has plenty of traits Emery will be looking to utilise.
Seen as a pacey and direct goal threat who thrives in the final third, the youngster sounds much like Agbonlahor during his time at Villa.
With Boyd still only being 17 years old, the challenge for Emery will now be to ensure that the attacking midfielder develops into a top player, and his talent isn’t wasted.
Hopefully, the signings can be wrapped up before the transfer window closes.

Who else could Aston Villa sign on deadline day?
Despite Evann Guesannd being Villa’s only major signing this summer, it could be a busy deadline day.
On top of Paqueta and Elliott, Villa are also showing interest in goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
Marco Asensio is also heavily linked to a Villa return after the winger had a solid loan spell in the latter end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Hopefully, Emery will get at least four first-team players through the door to help the B6 club challenge for Europe once more.
