Lucas Paqueta could replace Morgan Rogers in huge deadline-busting Aston Villa transfer update
Morgan Rogers’ Aston Villa future has been under regular threat this summer as rivals circle.
Rogers has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham in moves worth a potential £80million, but Villa have so far fought off any interest.
With deadline day approaching on Monday, teams could step up their efforts to sign the 23-year-old.

Aston Villa ask for Lucas Paqueta deal conditions

However, should Rogers’ departure materialise, they could receive a massive injection of cash, which would see a busy end to the transfer window.
Aston Villa have recently expressed interest in Paqueta after it emerged that he wanted to leave West Ham this summer.
According to journalist Santi Aouna on X, the Villans have now asked for the deal conditions to sign the Brazilian, as he is one of the options should Rogers leave in the coming days.
Emery has so far been able to complete many signings, with Evann Guessand’s £20m move from Nice being their only notable signing.
Despite raising plenty of funds from the sales of Leon Bailey and Jacob Ramsey, the Villans still don’t have many funds to sign anyone.
Aston Villa intend to fight tooth and nail to keep Rogers, but having seen what happened with Ramsey’s move to Newcastle, supporters are growing worried that he will leave.

If Paqueta is a direct replacement for Rogers, it is expected that he will play through the middle.
Instead, Donyell Malen could take up Rogers’ role, should he continue to show the form that he displayed in pre-season.
Paqueta will be seen as a slight downgrade on Rogers, but the attacking midfielder would be a smart signing when it comes to Financial Fair Play.
