Aston Villa can now smash the glass ceiling as Villa Park plans set for green light
Aston Villa have been in a desperate situation financially this summer.
To this point of the summer, Evann Guessand is the only outfield signing Villa have made after dealing with monetary frustration throughout the window.
This comes after UEFA levelled a fine at Aston Villa after breaching SCR, much to the frustration of Villa owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.
Villa missed out on Champions League football after losing to Manchester United at the end of last season, which caused the above issues to come to the boil.
There now appears to be light at the end of the tunnel for the Villans, with fresh plans at Villa Park set to hand the financial boost that the B6 club have been desperate for.

Aston Villa left behind in Premier League revenue race
The financial stick that is being used to beat the claret and blue outfit is their lack of revenue compared to the so-called “big six”.
This saw the revenue-to-wages ratio hit 96 per cent last season after the January loan signings of Marco Asensio and new Barcelona man Marcus Rashford.
As a result, it was little surprise that financial problems hit when fines and blocks resulted in a disappointing window to this point.
Many have been left frustrated given the level of outlay that the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham have showcased this summer.

This comes largely down to the fact that these clubs have a sizable revenue boost over Villa, affording them more space to spend.
As a result, big changes are required, and it appears as if Villa are set to get the green light to make strides towards improving their own fortune.

Aston Villa set forVilla Park redevelopment permission
There is no hiding away from the fact that the North Stand is an eyesore in B6 and is in desperate need of change.
- Constructed: 1922
- Refurbished: 1977
- Capacity: 7,000 (Approx)
It appears that the Villans are set to get exactly that as they await the verdict of Birmingham City Council in their desire to receive planning permission.
The Athletic have reported (20 August) that the planning committee will convene on 28 August to vote on the potential changes to Villa Park, with permission recommended for approval by council planners already.
There are plans to add 5,926 seats to the ground to take the overall capacity to 48,809, in the hopes of taking it above 50,000 for the 2028 EUROs.
With the additional thousands of supporters and the changes to the surrounding areas, this will be a massive boost to the Villains’ revenue for the coming years.
This could prove to be exactly what Emery and Co. need in their mission to push up the Premier League and challenge the elite on a regular basis.
