Unai Emery drops Jacob Ramsey update as exit-bound Aston Villa star spotted elsewhere
Jacob Ramsey looks set to leave Aston Villa in the coming days.
The Villa academy graduate has been linked away from the Birmingham outfit throughout the summer.
Now, reports suggest that Newcastle will sign Ramsey before the start of the Premier League season.
As a result, Unai Emery has now responded to these rumours in his press conference on Friday.

Unai Emery: Jacob Ramsey is not currently with Aston Villa
Reports suggest that Villa are set to pocket £39million for Ramsey if his move to the Magpies is completed.
It would be the first major sale at the Birmingham outfit this summer, coming shortly after Villa’s capture of Evann Guessand.
A move for Ramsey now looks likely, with Sky Sports reporter Kieth Downie posting a video on X of Villa star landing in Newcastle on a private Jet on 14 August.
As a result, ahead of Aston Villa versus Newcastle on Saturday, questions were directed at Emery on 15 August about the attacking midfielder’s future.
He said: “Of course, Jacob Ramsey is not with us today. If he is leaving, we are going to continue our work.
“I was very happy with what we did with him, and now I’m focusing on the players we have.”

Should Villa have got more for Ramsey?
While around £40m is a decent fee, many of the Villa Park faithful will believe Emery should have pushed for a higher price.
Ramsey has been an important player at Villa for years, with the 24-year-old playing over 150 times for the Birmingham side.
However, the midfielder’s injury issues have no doubt taken his price tag down.

Ramsey has had an awful injury record over the past two seasons, which have seen him miss numerous matches.
Therefore, Villa are likely doing well to get the reported fee for a star that can no longer stay fit.
Hopefully, Emery has a potential replacement in mind to ensure that the Birmingham outfit are not short in attack this season.
