Aston Villa vs Newcastle United: Weather forecast, ticket details and travel information
Aston Villa are set to open their campaign against Newcastle United at Villa Park on Saturday.
The Villans are set to face Eddie Howe’s side on 16 August in a return to Premier League action just 83 days after their last competitive outing.
It is fair to say that the Magpies represent a stern test for Unai Emery’s men, despite Aston Villa securing a 4-1 win over Newcastle back in April.
Since then, both outfits have dealt with turbulent summer windows and will be hopeful of getting their season started on the right track in B6.
Villa News has highlighted everything you need to know about Aston Villa’s clash against Newcastle this weekend.

High temperatures predicted at Villa Park
Typically, supporters are more adverse to cold, wet and windy conditions when making the trip to watch the claret and blue outfit.
This time around, it will be completely different, with hot weather and sunny intervals predicted in the Midlands.

The Met Office (15 July) have forecast temperatures of between 22 and 23 degrees at the time of kick off, 12:30pm, so regular water breaks could be a feature for the players in B6.
This could see Emery hand out multiple debuts against Newcastle and utilise his bench to get the most out of his squad in B6.
The day is only set to get hotter as the time goes on, with highs of 25 degrees predicted closer to the Premier League’s afternoon kick-offs.

Tickets available for Aston Villa vs Newcastle United
Villa Park has become a notoriously hard stadium to pick up tickets at, although that isn’t the case against the Magpies, with many seats left vacant at this stage.
The Villa website (15 August) shows availability throughout the Trinity Road, Doug Ellis, Holte End and North Stand, with prices ranging from £58 to £77 for a regular ticket.
There is also many controversially priced hospitality packages available throughout the stadium, with tickets available for all matchday packages besides The Cells, 150 Club and the William McGregors suite.
Other tickets in these GA+ areas will cost supporters anywhere between £154 and £960 for the clash against Newcastle.
Travel guide for Villa Park
There are many ways to get to Villa Park on matchday, with the AV82 shuttle bus from Birmingham city centre arguably being the easiest.
Other bus services from the centre that fans can utilise include the NX7, NX907, NX33 and NX51, with a number of routes surrounding local areas if travelling from closer by.
There are also frequent rail services which allow travel into both Aston and Witton stations, with both representing a short walk to the stadium.
With e-ticketing and this being the first day of the season, Aston Villa and Newcastle fans are advised to get to the ground in plenty of time as turnstiles open at 11am.
