Aston Villa open talks to sign one of Barcelona’s ‘biggest revelations’ as talented defender eyed

Unai Emery is looking to bolster Aston Villa’s defence before the transfer window closes in September.

Through Aston Villa’s PSR restraints and market availability, Unai Emery hasn’t been able to make as much of the summer transfer window as he would have hoped.

The Spaniard has seen four new arrivals check in at Villa Park, though only Evan Guessand is likely to have much of an influence on the success that they can find this season.

With that said, the Villans are eyeing a new defensive transfer, and he comes with rave reviews.

Barcelona have another gem ready to stamp his mark on football

La Masia is comfortably the most successful youth setup in world football, and it has shown no signs of slowing down when it comes to producing the goods.

Hector Fort is one of the most recent to have graduated, and according to Fabrizio Romano via X, Villa have made contact with Barcelona over a potential transfer.

The 19-year-old has already made 30 first-team appearances for the La Liga giants, but could be on his way out of Spain this month.

Described as “one of the biggest revelations of the season”, his addition would be welcome at Villa Park.

Villa would benefit greatly from Fort’s arrival

Fort, as mentioned, has already impressed in his teen years, and his potential is blindingly obvious.

Not only would Villa be getting a player who is ready to have an impact in the Premier League, but also one whose ceiling could go beyond any of their current defenders.

These are the types of signings that can take you to the next level over time, and it is one that could be of great benefit if they pursue it.
