‘Aston Villa handed chance to sign Denzel Dumfries’ in £21m clause development
Aston Villa have been in need of a top-quality right back for several seasons.
The Villans have certainly got their money’s worth out of Matty Cash since his £16million move from Nottingham Forest in 2020.
With that being said, there have been several complaints levelled at the Poland international who can be guilty of the occasional error in claret and blue.
As a result, bringing in a new option could be wise this summer, especially one with the elite experience of Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.

There has been a change in approach from Unai Emery in the early stage of pre-season this summer, with a five-back formation seemingly on the agenda.
This has seen the claret and blue outfit build up from the back with three centre-backs, while the full-backs have pushed high and wide.
It feels as if this will suit the game of Andres Garcia more than Cash, something which could point towards bringing in a new option.
There aren’t many better out there in that position than the Netherlands international right now, so his signing could represent a real coup in B6.
The Villans could now make a swoop for the 29-year-old who is reported to have a £21.6m release clause in his contract at San Siro [Fabrizio Romano, 22 July].
With Barcelona seemingly out of the race to sign Dumfries, Villa could build on prior interest to step in before this opportunity closes on 31 July.

The addition of the Dutchman could prove to be the signing that showcases how ambitious Monchi and Co. are for the future at Bodymoor Heath.
At this stage, frustration is building with the lack of transfer activity in B6, but that would be forgotten with the defender’s introduction.
The two-time Champions League finalist is electric going forward and is no slouch defensively, potentially making him a perfect option under Emery.
