Aston Villa continued their pre-season schedule on Saturday with a friendly against Hansa Rostock.
Unai Emery was searching for a better performance from his Villa side after they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Walsall on Wednesday.
However, the Birmingham outfit were unable to return to winning ways as they lost 3-1 against German tier three side Hansa Rostock.
While there were many concerns from the match, there were also positives, with Jacob Ramsey finding the net during the match.

Ramsey’s Aston Villa future has been heavily speculated upon so far this summer.
The attacker has been at the Birmingham outfit for his entire career and is a Villa academy graduate.
However, injuries have limited his game time, and the 24-year-old has since struggled to cement himself in the starting XI.

As a result, Nottingham Forest have been linked to Ramsey as they search for a replacement for the exit-linked Morgan Gibbs-White.
Nevertheless, Emery started the attacker against Rostock, and he opened the scoring in the first half with a tidy finish.

Ramsey starting could mean he is set to stay at Aston Villa
If Emery wanted to sell Ramsey, surely he would have been at least on the bench against Rostock.
However, considering that the Spaniard opted to start the attacking midfielder, it now seems unlikely that he will leave Villa Park any time soon.
If Ramsey can find his form again at the Birmingham outfit, he would become an excellent option, especially in the upcoming Europa League campaign.
However, this will need to happen quickly, or Emery may be tempted to look at other options in the transfer window if he struggles later into pre-season.
Thankfully, despite the loss to Rostock, Ramsey showed once again what he is capable of at Villa.
