Erling Haaland reacts as Aston Villa miss out on signing
Aston Villa have faced a slow start to the transfer window.
The Villans’ first signing of the summer was announced on Tuesday (July 15), and arrived in the form of 34-year-old goalkeeper Marco Bizot – who has joined from Ligue 1 side Brest.
Unai Emery’s outfield options are yet to be bolstered, despite losing Marco Asensio, Marcus Rashford and Axel Disasi at the end of the season following the end of their loans.

Haaland reacts to Nypan signing
Norwegian youngster Sverre Nypan was a hot topic for several Premier League clubs in January.
Manchester City, Arsenal, and Aston Villa all attempted to sign the midfielder, who looks to be the latest exciting prospect to emerge from the Eliteserien.
Already gaining six caps for the Norwegian national team since making his debut last year, Nypan was a regular for Rosenborg in the 2024 season.
The youngster, 17 at the time, made 33 appearances in all competitions for the side that finished fourth in the Norwegian first division, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists.

Arsenal had looked to be winning the race in January before Villa surged ahead in talks, looking set to announce the signing.
But Emery’s side failed to close a deal, and the move looked to have broken down in the months following.
That led to an agreement for Nypan being found by Manchester City, who announced that they had signed the Norwegian on Thursday (July 17), in a deal worth around £12.5million.
Manchester City striker and fellow Norwegian Erling Haaland reacted to the news on Instagram, liking the post that confirmed the teenager’s arrival.
Villa will be disappointed to miss out on Nypan
Nypan attracted such interest from the Premier League for a reason – the midfielder looks to be a supreme talent.
Already a fantastic technician capable of an impact for the first team, the 18-year-old has huge potential within the Premier League.
Villa will be disappointed they could not seal a deal, with Emery likely to have found space for Nypan within his first team squad this season.
Instead, at Manchester City, the Norwegian is likely to be sent on a season-long loan, with competition at the former Premier League champions high.
