Morgan Rogers sends four-word message as blockbuster Newcastle transfer confirmed
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers was outstanding under Unai Emery last season.
The 22-year-old had had a breakout campaign at Villa Park, starting all but one Premier League match as Emery’s men agonisingly missed out on qualifying for the Champions League.
The failure to qualify for the Champions League has led to some of Villa’s key players, like Emi Martinez, being linked with a move away from B6.
With Villa looking increasingly likely to miss out on signings like Marco Asensio, prominent players may be beginning to weigh up a potential exit from Birmingham.

Rogers himself has also been linked with a move away from the Villans, but Emery will be hoping to build his team around the young star.
With Ollie Watkins potentially following Martinez out of the exit door, Rogers’ influence on the side may be set to grow even further.

If Villa want to qualify for the Champions League again, then Newcastle United, who beat them to it last season, will be one of their main rivals.
With the Magpies recently securing the blockbuster signing of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest for £52million, Rogers has already reacted to the deal.
Underneath Elanga’s post on his personal Instagram account confirming the move (11 July), Rogers left a four-word message for his good friend.
“Good luck, my boy”, he wrote, followed by a heart emoji.
Villa cannot afford to let sides like Newcastle pull away
Whilst Rogers will undoubtedly be happy for his friend after securing such a big move, the attacking midfielder will be beginning to wonder when his side will start to splash the cash in the transfer window.
With a move for Barcelona winger Ferran Torres being rubbished by the Spanish media, Villa seemingly need to identify other transfer targets to reinforce their squad.
The Lions cannot afford to sit around whilst their direct rivals strengthen ahead of the new campaign,
Securing a return to Villa for Jack Grealish may be the type of marquee signing Emery needs to achieve his goals for next season.
