‘Emery to receive new Aston Villa starlet’ as Monchi eyes £4.75m transfer
Aston Villa could be about to land an exciting new talent as Monchi continues to navigate the transfer market.
The Villans are working against a backdrop of financial constraints, but remain keen to strengthen their current squad, as well as add talent for the future.
Villa have already identified Stoke City’s Sol Sidibe as a potential option this summer, and are thought to be leading the race to sign the promising 18-year-old.
The second city outfit have gained a reputation as a club who are keen to tie down impressive young players, and that looks set to continue as they eye up another possible addition.

Aston Villa are battling Brighton to sign Rodolfo Aloko
Monchi’s own future at Villa has come under scrutiny this summer, but there can be no doubt about his level of importance to the project at present.
The Spanish chief has delivered some exceptional signings for the Villans over the last few seasons, and together with Unai Emery, the pair have played a major role in turning the club’s fortunes around.
Monchi could now be preparing to play another blinder in the transfer market, as he lines up a deal to sign a hugely promising talent.
Villa are part of a whole host of clubs who are keen on signing Rodolfo Aloko from Croatian side NK Kustosija, according to reports from the Daily Mail (9 July).
Kustosija have seen numerous youngsters leave for major European clubs recently, and Aloko appears set to be the next, with Villa preparing to battle Brighton to secure his signature.
Aloko’s pace and power are seen as lending themselves perfectly to the Premier League, and Kustosija are understood to value him at just £4.75million.
There is also interest from the likes of Sevilla, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt. Therefore, it seems as though Monchi will have to act quickly if he wants to bring the 18-year-old in.

Aloko could become the next Villa Park star
Aloko is a total unknown in English football at the moment, but he could become a future star at Villa Park.
The attacking midfielder recently made his senior international debut for Benin in their friendly against Morocco, and is tipped to have a big future ahead of him.
He has caught the eye at youth level on the international stage, and could be the latest to land a big move after joining Kustosija.
The Zagreb-based side are building a reputation for developing young talent, having recently sold Lovro Chelfi to Barcelona, and Villa are now keen to get in on the action.
