‘Barcelona to sanction Ferran Torres transfer to Aston Villa after Rashford deal’
Marcus Rashford could potentially help Aston Villa pull off a transfer for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres this summer.
The Manchester United star has left Villa Park and returned to training at Old Trafford after joining the Villans on a short-term loan in February.
While Unai Emery would like Rashford back at the Lions, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the 27-year-old.
With Barcelona targeting the Man United star as well, the Birmingham club could instead use that to their advantage.

Aston Villa to push for Torres if Barcelona complete Rashford transfer
Torres isn’t interested in leaving Barcelona amid interest from Villa, according to Sport.
The news outlet reports (9 July) that the Villans haven’t finalised their £43million offer yet for the Spain international.
It’s been claimed that the 25-year-old is happy at the La Liga giants and is excited to start next season at the Camp Nou.

Although Torres may change his mind if Barcelona sign Rashford from Man United this summer, leading to more competition for places in the starting lineup under Hansi Flick.
The versatile Spanish forward played second fiddle to Robert Lewandowski in the Blaugrana’s attack in the previous campaign, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha the first choice on either wing.
Villa could potentially be able to entice the 25-year-old with a leading role under Emery, and the La Liga giants may be open to his exit once Rashford signs for them.

Emery should ask for Rashford or Torres transfer at Villa
Emery heavily relied on Rashford and Marco Asensio at Villa Park last season after their respective loan spells from Man United and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spanish manager will undoubtedly hope the Lions can work on the Englishman and the former Real Madrid attackers return to Birmingham this summer.
Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens will surely have an eye on the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), but they should give Emery a competitive squad if they hope to be successful next season.
For now, the Villa Park faithful will keep an eye on Rashford and Torres’ situation and see how their situations unfold.
