Aston Villa ‘main candidates’ to seal Jack Grealish transfer amid £34.5m Man City news
Jack Grealish has been edging towards a possible return to Aston Villa this summer after being cut adrift by Manchester City.
The England star is undoubtedly one of the best talents the B6 outfit have ever produced, and he enjoyed seven impressive years as a senior player with his boyhood club.
Speculation of Grealish’s potential return to Villa has been fuelled by his falling out with Pep Guardiola, and with the 29-year-old having missed out on a spot in City’s Club World Cup squad, there is seemingly no way back for him.
Guardiola’s snub has had several Premier League sides on red alert, including Villa, who are understandably keen on the idea of reuniting with their former livewire.

Villa in pole position to sign Grealish amid £34.5m asking price
Concerns over Grealish’s wages have been an issue for Villa, and that has also proved to be the case for several of the other interested parties.
However, Unai Emery’s side have now been handed renewed hope by City’s decision to set what is arguably a very reasonable asking price.
The Manchester club are reportedly asking for just £34.5million in order to sell Grealish this summer, according to Fichajes (6 July).
It is understood that the valuation has seen Villa emerge as the “main candidate” to secure the winger’s signature ahead of the upcoming campaign, in what would be a huge statement of intent.
The Villans’ concerning PSR situation has had a major impact on any potential spending this summer, but it looks as though City’s acceptance to take a significant loss on Grealish may have just opened the door for them to secure a deal.

Grealish would be the perfect addition for Villa
Much of Villa’s transfer window has centred around Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho so far.
The pair of Manchester United widemen have both been linked with a switch to the second city, but equally they both have their pitfalls as far as a potential deal is concerned.
Given City’s new valuation of Grealish, that would surely stand him as the best candidate of the three, regardless of his potential wage demands.

Villa know exactly what they are getting with the 39-cap international, and bringing him back to the place where he had so much success could be exactly what is needed for him to get his career back on track.
He is the kind of player who is capable of changing games single-handedly, and Villa have seen that time and again over the years.
The fresh valuation is clearly enticing for Monchi and Co., and Grealish should surely become their new priority as a result.
