‘Rashford waits by phone to leave Man United’ amid Aston Villa transfer offer
Marcus Rashford is still yet to find a new club after his loan at Aston Villa ended.
The 27-year-old was generally positive throughout his six-month spell with the Villans before picking up a frustrating season-ending injury.
Despite this, the England international was allowed to return to Manchester United to link up with Ruben Amorim again, as his £40million clause wasn’t activated.
It appears that Rashford is now awaiting a new transfer, something which could prove to be possible at Villa Park after a new offer dropped.

Rashford awaits transfer after Aston Villa offer
There is no doubt that the Villa faithful would like to see the forward return and have a full campaign in claret and blue when fully fit.
The quality that the Englishman possesses could prove to be something which turns the B6 club into a much more consistent outfit at the top end of the Premier League.
With that being said, opting against bringing him in for that £40m fee could be evidence of a move being off the cards for the time being.
This could be set to change, especially after Man United were linked with an approach for Ollie Watkins, with a potential fee of £60m wanted by Villa [The Mirror, 2 July].
Ironically, this has coincided with Fabrizio Romano reporting via his YouTube channel (4 July) that Rashford is waiting for a transfer, primarily from Barcelona.
The transfer specialist said: “Marcus Rashford is waiting for options, including Barcelona. Rashford would love to go to Barcelona, he would love to play in Spain, he would love to be a Barca player.
“Rashford is basically waiting for this option. He also has more possibilities, but I expect Barcelona to try for Luis Diaz again and have Rashford as part of their shortlist again.”
Rashford could join Barcelona over Aston Villa
With Nico Williams opting to stay at Athletic Bilbao, the Catalan outfit are now going to be desperate for a new wide forward signing from elsewhere.
That could prove to be the Red Devils’ outcast, who appears keen on a move to Camp Nou, which is hardly a surprise.
With that being said, there is no guarantee that Barca are going to want him, especially after just 17 appearances in a Villa shirt.

It feels as if Unai Emery would still want him back if the option were there, with the prospect of getting the best out of him for an entire season.
