Black Sabbath at Villa Park: Updated weather forecast, merchandise, confirmed times

Aston Villa are yet to return to pre-season, but their stadium will host one of their biggest events in years at the weekend.

Villa Park will play host to tens of thousands of people as Birmingham-based band Black Sabbath will play a truly iconic show there on Saturday, July 5.

Black Sabbath were formed in the 1970s in Birmingham, and went on to become one of the most influential bands in the history of heavy metal.

Frontman Ozzy Osbourne is a lifelong Aston Villa fan, and he will now play his final-ever gig at his home stadium, on a day filled with special guests.

Black Sabbath merchandise available at Villa Park

Black Sabbath have now announced that official merchandise will be available to buy in the stadium, with a range of t-shirts and jumpers with new designs on sale.

T-shirts designed by Kings Heath artist Jon Jones will be priced from £45, while official event hoodies will be priced at £90.

Fans who cannot attend the concert can order merchandise online, with shipping expected to begin in mid-August.

Black Sabbath concert times

The doors to Villa Park open at 11am on Saturday, with the first act set to take the stage at 1pm, in a day stacked full of big names in metal.

Former Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello is directing the day’s events, while actor Jason Momoa will be the on-stage host as plenty of artists are expected to collaborate throughout the day.

Osbourne will then take to the stage himself in the evening to perform a solo set, before the rest of Black Sabbath’s original members join him to play on stage for one final time.

There is a curfew at 11pm, meaning Osbourne is likely to take to the stage between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
