Marcus Rashford reacts as Aston Villa confirm official transfer news
Marcus Rashford has continued to be at the centre of Aston Villa’s news this summer despite his departure from Villa Park.
The Manchester United forward spent the latter half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at the Birmingham outfit, where he put in a mixed set of performances.
Nevertheless, Rashford has been linked with a return to Villa this summer, with the England international unwanted at Old Trafford.
The bookies have placed Villa as one of the favourites to sign Rashford as Unai Emery looks set to shake up his squad.

Rashford likes post regarding Olsen and Hause departures
Plenty of news surrounding Aston Villa broke on Monday regarding the future of their squad.
The sale of Aston Villa Women should mean that no fire sale is necessary this summer, with Emery set to hold onto his best players going into the new campaign.
However, this has not stopped departures from being confirmed at the Birmingham outfit.
Aston Villa stated on their Instagram (30 June) that duo Robin Olsen and Kortney Hause have now officially left Villa Park and become free agents upon the expiry of their contracts.
Rashford reacted to this news with a like, showing that he is still interested in the ongoing situation at the Birmingham club.
Hause departure will help Aston Villa financially
While Hause was once a great asset at Villa, the centre-back was no doubt a forgotten player in recent years.
The centre-back had not made a single appearance at Villa Park in three years, with injuries being a factor in his decline.

Appearances | 55 |
Goals | 4 |
Assists | 0 |
Honours | Championship playoffs x1 |
Despite this, the defender earned millions for essentially doing very little.
With PSR being a concern at Villa for years, the departure of Hause will surely help the Birmingham outfit avoid breaches in the future.
Hopefully, Emery will now be able to get rid of more deadweight as the summer goes on.
