Aston Villa officially announce Marcus Rashford transfer news

Marcus Rashford managed to revive his reputation a bit after joining Aston Villa on loan from Manchester United in the winter transfer window.

Barcelona have been linked with the England international, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for the 27-year-old.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Unai Emery wanting Rashford back at Villa Park ahead of next season after some impressive displays in recent months.

An official announcement has been made by the Villans as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.

Robin Olsen and Kortney Hause’s deals have expired, while the Man United loanee, Marco Asensio and Axel Disasi will return to their respective clubs.

The Lions have wished the English attacker and the others the best of luck for their futures, although fans may see some of them back in Birmingham soon.

Emery should push for Rashford and Asensio return to Villa

Rashford should be a target for Villa in the coming weeks, as it feels clearly evident that Ruben Amorim doesn’t want him at Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old managed to pip Ollie Watkins in the pecking order upon his arrival, and Emery saw something in him to have that sort of faith.

Asensio’s return to Villa Park this summer should also be on the agenda, with the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) loanee thriving under the Spanish manager.

With the Ligue 1 outfit building a young and successful team that won the Champions League recently, the 29-year-old could potentially be better off returning to Villa.

While the Villans missed out on Champions League football for next season after finishing sixth in the Premier League, Emery will be confident of making it far in the Europa League.

Rashford and Asensio’s arrival will arguably boost the Lions’ chances of winning silverware next season and make further progress under the Spanish head coach.

With the Englishman returning to Man United, fans in B6 will keep a close eye on his future.
