Aston Villa ‘can solve PSR issues’ with Chelsea swap transfer before 30 June
Aston Villa are facing financial pressure yet again as the Premier League PSR limits close in.
Villa missed out on Champions League football on the final day, with the consequences being heavy, as they now need to sell to resolve their financial situation.
Several players have been linked with moves as a result, and key Villa Park stars have now been courted by Premier League rivals.
While Unai Emery would prefer not to strengthen a potential rival, there may now be a way for Villa to resolve their financial issues using a few quick fixes before 30 June.

Chelsea swap deal for Emi Martinez could prove beneficial
Emi Martinez looks likely to depart Villa this summer, but with the goalkeeper keen on staying in England and not interested in Saudi Arabia, Emery is now in a difficult position.
Chelsea have been linked with the Argentinian, but with Villa also possibly making a move for Nicolas Jackson, there could be a way for a deal to benefit everyone.
Emery is familiar with Jackson, having integrated him into the team at Villarreal, and if both sides pay a fee and swap the goalkeeper for the striker, it could produce a hefty profit on the books for Villa.
Stat | Emi Martinez |

This would also see Jackson arrive as a Premier League-proven centre-forward, and he could serve as the immediate and long-term replacement for Ollie Watkins.

Watkins could be sold this summer
Watkins has been linked with an exit this summer, and a big-money sale would certainly boost Villa’s PSR situation.
If Villa can sign Jackson in any sort of swap deal with Martinez, it could facilitate a big sale for Watkins, and between both deals, they could end up finding a long-term successor for the striker while also receiving a financial boost.
Watkins has been a reliable performer over the years, but there appeared to be friction between the England star and Emery after he was dropped in the Champions League, and an exit now may be beneficial for all parties.
The striker is now Villa’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League, and would depart Villa Park as an icon if his sale does resolve their finances.
