Garnacho to Aston Villa: Transfer fee, salary and likely shirt number for Man Utd star
Aston Villa’s summer transfer window has so far largely been dominated by links over possible deals with Manchester United.
Both Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have been mooted for potential moves to Villa Park, as the Red Devils look to revamp their squad under Ruben Amorim.
There is also heavy links that Emi Martinez could be set to move in the other direction, with the Argentine shotstopper understood to be pushing hard for a move to Old Trafford.
However, the strongest links surrounding Villa and United are currently surrounding a potential deal for Alejandro Garnacho, with Villa understood to be preparing a big-money swoop for the wideman.

Garnacho’s fee, salary and shirt number
Monchi and Co. must be measured with their transfer business this summer, as Villa are one of several Premier League clubs who are in danger of overstepping the mark when it comes to the league’s PSR constraints.
Despite this, talk of a move to sign Garnacho simply will not go away. United have placed a £70million pricetag on the 20-year-old, but Ruben Amorim’s side have been tipped to potentially accept an offer in the region of £55m for Garnacho from Villa.
The Argentine’s salary is widely reported to be in the region of £50,000 per week right now, which would likely not pose too much of an issue for the Villans, despite their financial concerns.
However, Garnacho’s stature has grown and his next contract will likely see those wages shoot up.
Garnacho recently posted a photo of himself wearing a Villa shirt with Rashford on the back, and that has further fuelled speculation that he could be about to move to B6.
The winger wears the number 17 for both United and Argentina, but with Donyell Malen currently occupying that squad number at Villa, he would have to look at other options if he were to make the switch.
He has worn the number 11 at various different stages of his time in United’s academy, and with doubts over Ollie Watkins’ future, that number could be about to become available for Garnacho, if he does complete his move.

Garnacho needs to sort consistency issues
Garnacho’s exit from Old Trafford is seemingly inevitable this summer, but he undoubtedly needs to address the issues regarding his consistency if he is to be a success at his next club, whether that be at Villa or elsewhere.

The forward enjoyed the most productive season of his professional career last year, but there are still question marks over his ability to produce game-changing moments week in, week out.
If he were to move to the second city, Villa would need that to change relatively quickly. They are not blessed with much room to manoeuvre in the transfer market this summer, and if they did bring in Garnacho, he would likely be their only significant signing.
With that in mind, Unai Emery would need him to be capable of spearheading his side’s creativity every time he pulls on the shirt, and unfortunately that hasn’t been the case during his career so far.
