Manchester United fans rage at what Garnacho has done in Aston Villa shirt – ‘Toxic’

Alejandro Garnacho has cut a divisive figure at Manchester United, and his reputation is bound to plummet after recent Aston Villa developments.

The Argentine, like most of United’s players, endured a torrid season at Old Trafford under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Garnacho’s issues came to the fore after the Europa League final, with the winger hitting out at his manager, who has told him he can leave.

Now, the 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Villa Park and has just added fuel to that raging fire.

Man United supporters react as Garnacho dons Aston Villa shirt

Aston Villa face an uncertain summer amid financial concerns, meaning substantial player sales are on the cards.

Emi Martinez has been linked with a move to Manchester United after seemingly waving goodbye to Villa Park in his last home game.

Elsewhere, Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers have their admirers, although the latter’s departure would be a shock.

Despite all the talk of outgoings and financial trouble, Unai Emery’s side has been linked with a remarkable move for Garnacho.

The winger made 36 appearances last season, scoring six and assisting two as the Red Devils finished in 15th.

Now, he has sent supporters into overdrive after being pictured wearing an Aston Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford on the back.

Garnacho was donning the claret and blue while on holiday in Ibiza, surrounded by expensive cars.

BBC Sport shared the image on their X account (22 June), with the Manchester United faithful left in complete uproar.

Garnacho triggers United exit after Villa image

While Garnacho’s action was met with love by Rashford, his decision was met with anger by Red Devils supporters.

Understandably, when a player wears a rival club’s shirt, it is always going to be met by conflicting views.

Given that he is not exactly the most popular figure at Old Trafford right now, his reputation is only going to plunge.

As for Villa fans, some were beaming at the image and believed it could be a sign of his imminent move to the West Midlands.

One thing that is for sure is that Garnacho is in support of a player who has been exiled from the 20-time league champions.

This act was deliberate and intended to spark a response, and it feels as though the Argentine is begging to leave Old Trafford.

Furthermore, a Villa shirt could not be more poetic, seeing as the 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Emery’s side.

Garnacho to Aston Villa is one to watch this summer, and those reports have been ignited by this image.
